About Us

A1 Car Search was launched by Kev Rowe who started working in the automotive industry in 1996; Kev started out as a car salesman for a main dealer, selling both new and used vehicles. He has since been trading both new & used vehicles, working with both cars and light commercials.

After many people asking him for advice on buying or selling their vehicles he was persuaded by his customers, friends, and family to use his vast knowledge of the car industry to offer a consultancy service. A1 Car Search was born and the business grew quickly, via recommendation of this quite unique nationwide service.

A1 Car Search and was launched in June 2007 after Kev had left the London rat race and decided for life by the seaside in Brighton, East Sussex. A1’s unique and innovative business model has seen the business flourish in tough trading times. This is down to two simple facts, great customer service that’s second to none and the quality of vehicles customers receive.

With the success of A1 Car Search, the launch of A1 Fleet Solutions Ltd followed in January 2011. A1FS now has some large contracts and offers SME’s an alternative to the usual expense and inflexibility associated with running a small or large fleet. As the economic climate gets tougher, both A1 businesses grow, offering value for money and fantastic customer service.

Rhiannon followed Kev in to the business back in 2012 and took over the financial side of the business as it grew, she also helps mange the fleets for A1FS too, giving the business great impetuous. Samantha started with Kev & Rhiannon back in 2016 as a fresh faced apprentice and has risen to Operations Manager incredibly quickly, she is a vital part of the team and is part of the family.

Rob started working alongside Kev in 2014 and since then the partnership has flourished culminating in their joint venture Pure MOT, which is housed our Bolney HQ along with our Vehicle Workshop. Simon has worked with Rob for many years and came across at the same time, then Jake (Rob’s son) and Kyle (Rob’s stepson) joined shortly after so its a real family affair here.
